ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

This order requires Petitioner, Matika Medlock, to respond in writing by July 10, 2024.
This case called from the calendared at the Trial Session of the Court held on June 10, 2024, at the Earl Cabell Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, located at 1100 Commerce Street, Room 726, 7th Floor in Dallas, Texas. Petitioner did not appear. Respondent appeared and was heard.
On May 13, 2024, Respondent filed with the Court a Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution. Respondent is asking the Court to find that there is a deficiency in income tax due from Petitioner Matika Medlock for taxable year 2021 in the amount of $15,180.00, and an accuracy-related penalty under I.R.C. § 6662(a) in the amount of $3,036.00. Respondent informed the Court that Petitioner has not been responsive to contact attempts.

ORDERED that, on or before July 10, 2024, Petitioner shall show cause as to why Respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution should not be granted.
