On June 30, 2023, respondent filed in this case two Motions to Close on Ground of Duplication (Docket Index Nos. 7 and 8). Respondent asserts in his motions that this case is a duplicate of petitioner's case at Docket No. 7186-23 as, in both cases, petitioner seeks review of a notice of deficiency, dated February 6, 2023, issued with respect to petitioner's 2017 tax year. Upon review of the records in this case and petitioner's case at Docket No. 7186-23, respondent's motion appears well-supported.
In view of the foregoing, it is
ORDERED that respondent's Motion to Close on Ground of Duplication, filed June 30, 2023, at Docket Index No. 8 is deemed stricken from the Court's record. It is further
ORDERED that respondent's Motion to Close on Ground of Duplication is granted and this case is closed on the ground of duplication with respect to petitioner's case at Docket No. 7186-23. Future communication concerning the notice of deficiency issued for petitioner's 2017 tax year should be directed to Docket No. 7186-23.
