PAM MCNANEY AND JOHN MCNANEY, DECEASED, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was on the Court's October 25, 2021 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. The parties had reported last year that respondent had reviewed petitioners' voluminous substantiation, but then asked for more. Then the lawyer representing petitioners moved from his old firm. Securing his clients' consent to continue the representation was hampered by the passing of Mr. McNaney, whose widow has now decided to follow her old lawyer to his new firm. The parties recently reported that petitioner is still in the process of sending over documentation to respondent. The case still seems headed to settlement, so it is

ORDERED that on or before September 25, 2023 the parties shall file a joint status report describing any progress toward settlement or a narrowing of the issues to be tried.
