SASHA MCGARITY v. BIRMINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS

LC No. 2022-192217-CD

ORDER

Elizabeth L. Gleicher, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:

The claim of appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction because the October 4, 2022, order dismisses defendant's request for sanctions/attorney fees. Because no sanctions or attorney fees were awarded against plaintiff-appellant, she is not aggrieved by the October 4, 2022, order. MCR 7.203(A) provides that the Court has jurisdiction of an appeal of right filed by "an aggrieved party." Plaintiff-appellant is not aggrieved by the October 4, 2022, order.

If plaintiff-appellant seeks to appeal from the July 22, 2022, summary disposition order, she may file a delayed application for leave to appeal that order.
