Supreme Court of Michigan
Feb 3, 1998
456 Mich. 1220 (Mich. 1998)

Opinion

Docket No. 111225.

Leave to Appeal From Attorney Discipline Board Denied February 3, 1998.

Order Entered January 15, 1998.

The application for leave to appeal before decision by the Court of Appeals is considered, and, pursuant to MCR 7.302 (f)(1), in lieu of granting leave to appeal, the complaint for mandamus is considered, and relief on the complaint is denied. MCL 600.304; MSA 27A.304, as amended by 1996 PA 374, does not violate Const 1963, art 6, § 18. That constitutional provision prohibits the reduction in the dollar amount of a judge's salary, but does not forbid changes in the formula by which such salaries are computed. Court of Appeals No. 208060.
