Opinion

No. 2D16–426.

07-06-2016

M.C., Appellant/Petitioner(s), v. DEPT. OF CHILDREN & FAMILIES, Appellee/Respondent(s).

BY ORDER OF THE COURT.

This appeal was previously dismissed for failure to prosecute, but reinstated upon M.C.'s request in an order issued on May 9, 2016, which required M.C., in part, to file with this court an initial brief within twenty days that included citations to the record. Appellant M.C.'s initial brief filed with this court on June 3, 2016, did not comply with these requirements.

Accordingly, the initial brief is stricken in its entirety. Appellee Department of Children and Families' motion to dismiss the appeal based on M.C.'s failure to timely file an initial brief containing citations to the record is granted, and this appeal is dismissed for failure to prosecute.

The Department's motion to strike the initial brief based on noncompliance with Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure and the Department's motion for clarification are denied as moot.

LaROSE, CRENSHAW, and LUCAS, JJ., Concur.
