Matter of Reid

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York, Second Department
May 1, 1898
30 App. Div. 624 (N.Y. App. Div. 1898)

Opinion

May Term, 1898.

The Appellate Division of the first department having decided that residence within the State is a necessary qualification for admission to the bar, we feel that there should be no conflict between the practice of the two divisions in this respect. The application must, therefore, be denied without prejudice to a renewal at any time when the applicant may acquire proper residence.
