Opinion
March 20, 1952.
Appeal from Workmen's Compensation Board.
Present — Foster, P.J., Heffernan, Brewster, Bergan and Coon, JJ.
Claimant underwent an operation as a result of bilateral inguinal herniae concededly contracted in his employment. He developed post-operative pneumonia. Considerably later claimant developed a condition diagnosed as multiple sclerosis, and the only question presented is whether this condition is causally related to the original disability, operation and pneumonia. While there is a sharp conflict of medical testimony on this subject, the record discloses sufficient evidence in favor of the award to create a question of fact. Award unanimously affirmed, with costs to the Workmen's Compensation Board.
