In a proceeding under section 231-a of the Surrogate's Court Act to fix the compensation of attorneys for legal services rendered to decedent's daughter, Yetta Sultan, as his coadministratrix and distributee, the daughter appeals from so much of a decree of the Surrogate's Court, Kings County, dated June 15, 1960, as confirmed a Referee's report, made after hearings before him, recommending the fixing of the compensation at $20,000. including the disbursements made and expenses incurred, and as directed the administrators to pay such sum to the attorneys out of the estate. Decree, insofar as appealed from, affirmed, with costs to all parties filing briefs, payable out of the estate. It is our opinion that under all the circumstances the sum fixed by the Referee and approved by the Surrogate is reasonable for the legal services rendered by the attorneys to the daughter as coadministratrix and distributee of the estate, without regard to the legal services which such attorneys may have rendered to her in matters unrelated to the estate.
