DISCIPLINARY MATTERS
ORDER
This matter having been submitted to the Court on the report of the Disciplinary Review Board recommending that PERRY T. HELFANT of MARGATE, who was admitted to the bar of this State in 1983, be publicly disciplined for an incident of illegal drug use,
And it appearing from the Court's review of the record that respondent suffers from a grave medical disorder, diabetes mellitus, that he is legally blind as a result of his condition, that he suffers additional serious complications from his illness, and that when the incident occurred, respondent was under heavy emotional strain from renewed publicity regarding the death of his father; and good cause appearing,
It is ORDERED that PERRY T. HELFANT is publicly reprimanded for engaging in an incident of drug use, an act of illegality that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law in violation of Disciplinary Rule 1-102(A)(3); and it is further
ORDERED that PERRY T. HELFANT is directed to arrange for the supervision of his law practice under a proctor pursuant to Guideline No. 28 and to submit an original and eight copies of a report on his proctoring arrangements to the Court and to serve copies of the report on the Office of Attorney Ethics and the Disciplinary Review Board no later than August 25, 1988.
