Nathan W. Marsh and Sandra L. Marsh, Deceased Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case is on the Court's April 4, 2022 trial calendar for Los Angeles, California. On March 4, 2022 respondent moved without opposition to continue it. We spoke with the parties on March 9 and learned from a lawyer holding the Marshes' power of attorney that she has nearly settled the case at IRS Appeals and needs only a little more time. It's reasonable to move the case to a status-report track under these circumstances, and it is

ORDERED that respondent's March 4, 2022 motion for continuance is granted in that this case is stricken from the Court's April 4, 2022 trial calendar. It is also

ORDERED that this division of the Court retains jurisdiction. It is also

ORDERED that on or before May 9, 2022 the parties shall submit settlement documents or petitioner shall file a status report to describe their progress toward settlement.
