This case is currently calendared for trial during the Court's September 30, 2024, Portland, Oregon, trial session. On June 14, 2024, respondent filed a Motion for Summary Judgment (Doc. 9), along with a Declaration of IRS Senior Tax Analyst Kevin Stam (Doc. 10). By Order served August 6, 2024, among other things, respondent's Motion was set for hearing during the Court's September 30, 2024, Portland, Oregon, trial session.

On August 13, 2024, petitioner filed a Motion to Proceed Remotely (Doc. 14).

On September 9, 2024, the Court held a conference call with the parties to discuss, among other things, the parties' pending Motions. During the call, the parties expressed a desire to have additional time to attempt to resolve the case administratively. As discussed during the conference call and agreed to by the parties, the Court will strike this case from the Court's September 30, 2024, Portland, Oregon, trial session.

Upon due consideration, it is hereby

ORDERED that this case is stricken for hearing from the Court's September 30, 2024, Portland, Oregon, trial session. It is further

ORDERED that this case is stricken from the September 30, 2024, Portland, Oregon, trial session, and the parties are excused from appearing at the calendar call on September 30, 2024. It is further

ORDERED that respondent's Motion for Summary Judgment filed June 14, 2024, is held in abeyance. It is further

ORDERED that petitioner's Motion to Proceed Remotely filed August 13, 2024, is denied without prejudice to petitioner's right to renew. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before December 9, 2024, the parties shall file with the Court a joint report (or, if that is not expedient, then separate reports) describing the status of the case. It is further

ORDERED that jurisdiction is retained by the undersigned judge.
