JOSEFINA A. MANALO, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge

This case was on the Court's September 12, 2022 San Francisco, California trial calendar. The parties thought they would try to settle but a recent check of the docket showed no stipulated decision. We spoke with them today to get an update. They reported that petitioner has filed amended gift-tax returns for the transactions that had triggered the notice of income-tax deficiency. They've also submitted supporting documentation to respondent for other, smaller items. This suggests the case can stay on a status-report track, and it is

ORDERED that on or before August 10, 2023 the parties shall submit settlement documents or file a joint status report describing their progress in reaching a settlement or narrowing the issues to be tried.
