From the 227th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2023CR6598 &2023CR6599 Honorable Christine Del Prado, Judge Presiding.
ORDER
LIZA A. RODRIGUEZ, JUSTICE.
The court has examined the records in appeal numbers 04-24-00193-CR and 04-24-00194-CR and is of the opinion that, in the interest of efficient administration, they should be consolidated. We therefore ORDER appeal numbers 04-24-00193-CR and 04-24-00194-CR consolidated. The parties must file motions, briefs, and other pleadings as if the appeals were one but put both appeal numbers in the style of the case. The court will dispose of the appeals with the same judgment, opinion, and mandate.
Furthermore, appellant's court-appointed counsel filed a motion to withdraw and a brief in these appeals pursuant to Anders v. California, 368 U.S. 738 (1967). Thereafter, appellant filed a pro se motion for access to the appellate record and a motion for extension of time to file a pro se brief. The motion is GRANTED. The clerk of this court is ORDERED to prepare and send a paper copy of the appellate record for trial court cause number CR-2023-6598 and trial court cause number CR-2023-6599 to appellant at his current address: Connally Unit, 899 FM 632, Kenedy, Texas 78119.
If, after reviewing the appellate record, appellant desires to file a pro se brief, he must do so no later than January 13, 2025. If appellant files a pro se brief, the State may file a responsive brief no later than thirty (30) days after the date the appellant's pro se brief is filed in this court.
