NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS, § 206denial of signature on note. In action on promissory note against defendant, one of joint makers, who signed note by her cross, which was witnessed by named person, there was no substantial evidence to sustain defendant's contention that she "didn't make any cross," and that her deceased husband, co-maker of note, always transacted such business.

Appeal from the Municipal Court of Chicago; the Hon. MASON S. SULLIVAN, Judge, presiding.
