MEMORANDUM OPINION

Appellant filed his brief on July 24, 2008. On July 29, 2008, we notified appellant his brief was deficient and specifically informed appellant of the areas of deficiency. We directed appellant to file an amended brief correcting the deficiencies within ten days or the appeal would be dismissed. Nevertheless, to date, appellant has not filed a brief or otherwise communicated with the Court regarding this appeal.

Accordingly, we STRIKE appellant's brief for failing to satisfy the requirements of Texas Rule of Appellant Procedure 38.1 and DISMISS the appeal for want of prosecution. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.1, 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b).
