ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

This case was called and recalled from the calendar for the remote trial session of the Court on May 1, 2023, for cases where Los Angeles, California, was listed as the place of trial. There was no appearance by or on behalf of petitioner. Counsel for respondent appeared and was heard.

On April 6, 2023, respondent filed with the Court a Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution. Upon due consideration and for cause more fully appearing in the transcript of the proceedings, it is

ORDERED that respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution, filed April 6, 2023, is held in abeyance. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before May 31, 2023, petitioner shall show cause, in writing, why respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution, April 6, 2023, should not be granted. Failure to respond to this Order will likely result in the granting of respondent's Motion and dismissal of petitioner's case.
