JOAQUIN ADRIAN LIMA, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 400th District Court Fort Bend County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 22-DCR-098116

Panel Consists of Justices Wise, Spain, and Hassan.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On February 12, 2024, C. Patrick Ngwolo appeared in this court on behalf of appellant Joaquin Adrian Lima and filed a motion to substitute counsel for appellant. On March 21, 2024, we abated the appeal and directed the trial court to reconcile which attorney was representing appellant on appeal. On March 27, 2024, a supplemental clerk's record was filed containing a trial court order clarifying that Ngwolo has been retained as appellant's appellate counsel. On May 14, 2024, this court received a supplemental reporter's record from a trial court hearing that also clarified that appellant's appellate counsel was Ngwolo.

Accordingly, we reinstate the appeal on our active docket and grant Ngwolo's motion to substitute for both Thomas A. Martin and Cary Faden as appellant's counsel. Appellant's brief is due July 3, 2024.
