ADRIAN LEWIS v. LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS

In Re: Adrian Lewis, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 628828.

BEFORE: PARRO, McDONALD AND CRAIN, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED WITH ORDER. The district court's judgment of June 10, 2014 dismissing relator's petition for judicial review is a final, appealable judgment. Therefore, the writ is granted for the limited purpose of remanding the case to the district court with instructions to grant the relator an appeal pursuant to the June 26, 2014 pleading notifying the district court of relator's intention to seek writs. See In Re Howard, 541 So. 2d 195 (La. 1989) (per curiam) . Relator is to submit an order for appeal to the district court by November 10, 2014. Additionally, a copy of this Court's order is to be included in the appellate record.
