This I.R.C. section 6015(e) case, set for trial during the Los Angeles, California, trial session scheduled to begin in that city on Monday, April 22, 2024, is before the Court on respondent's motion for continuance, filed January 18, 2024. Giving due regard to the representations made by respondent in support of the motion, it is

ORDERED that respondent's motion is set for hearing at the place shown in the Notice Setting Case for Trial, served January 3, 2024, at a time and date certain of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. It is further

ORDERED that the parties are excused from appearing on Monday, April 22, 2024, as previously directed and need not comply with the terms and conditions set forth in the Standing Pretrial Order, served January 3, 2024.

The Court is inclined to grant the motion. The hearing will focus on the future actions the parties intend to take to prepare the case for trial or to resolve it without the need for one.
