ORDER
ELIZABETH CREWSON, PARIS JUDGE
These cases are calendared for trial at the Court's April 17, 2023, Dallas, Texas Trial Session.
On February 14, 2023, the parties filed with the Court a Joint Motion for Continuance which requests that the Court remove these cases from the trial session of the Court scheduled to commence at Dallas, Texas, on April 17, 2023, and retain jurisdiction of these cases.
On February 8, 2023, the Court previously held a telephonic conference with the parties during which time the parties requested a two-week special trial session in December 2023 or later, depending on the availability of the Court and the parties' expert witnesses. The parties are requesting that this Division of the Court retain jurisdiction to aid with pre-trial matters that may be needed to move these cases forward to litigation. The parties alerted the Court to additional related cases that should also be added to this class of consolidated cases.
After due consideration, and for cause, it is
ORDERED that jurisdiction of these cases is retained by this Division of the Court until further notice. It is further
ORDERED that the parties' Joint Motion for Continuance, filed February 14, 2023, is granted, and these cases are stricken for trial from the April 17, 2023, Dallas, Texas Trial Session, and these cases are continued. It is further
ORDERED that, on or before May 1, 2023, the parties shall file a Joint Status Report with the Court as to the then-present status of this case.
