Michael J. Kurzawa Petitioner v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Maurice B. Foley Chief Judge.

The petition to commence this whistleblower case was filed on January 28, 2019. This record in this case is not sealed. On September 20, 2021, attorney David Lee filed in paper form an entry of appearance as counsel for respondent. Electronic filing (efiling) is mandatory, however, for most parties represented by counsel in cases in which the petition is filed on or after July 1, 2010. Furthermore, the entry of appearance does not bear the original signature of Mr Lee, as it appears Mr. Lee signed the entry of appearance using a cursive computer font.

As the entry of appearance was not efiled and was not accompanied by a motion to be exempt from efiling, and further was improperly signed, we will strike Mr. Lee's entry of appearance.

Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that the entry of appearance filed by David Lee on September 20, 2021, is stricken from the Court's record in this case. 1
