Summary
In Koehler v. Adler (91 N.Y. 657), the question was whether a check given by the plaintiff to the defendant's intestate was a personal transaction between them, or a transaction in which the plaintiff acted for the Stonewall Oil Company. The plaintiff offered himself as a witness on the trial, and was asked by his counsel whether the check had anything to do with the affairs of the oil company.
