Margaret L. KNOBLAUCH, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee
From the 437th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2014CR10598
Honorable Lori I. Valenzuela, Judge Presiding
ORDER
Appellant has filed a motion to abate this appeal and requests that we direct the trial court to hold a hearing to determine whether her appellate attorney has a conflict of interest in representing appellant because of counsel's relationship with the attorney representing the complainant's family in unrelated civil cases pending in Bexar and Wilson counties.
We GRANT appellant's motion to abate, and we ORDER the trial court to conduct a hearing to determine whether appellant's appellate counsel is conflicted out from representing appellant.
We further ORDER the trial court to file its written findings of fact and conclusions of law with the trial court clerk no later than September 29, 2017. We ORDER the trial court clerk to file a supplemental clerk's record in this court no later than ten days after the trial court files its findings of facts and conclusions of law. Additionally, we ORDER the court reporter to file in this court a supplemental reporter's record of the hearing, along with copies of any documentary evidence admitted, no later than twenty days after the date of the hearing.
