James K. Keel v. Dr. Gregory Dillon

Trial court: County Court at Law No. 3 of Brazoria County Trial court case number: CI66187

ORDER

Veronica Rivas-Molloy Judge

Appellant James K. Keel's appellate brief was due on October 23, 2024. On October 28, 2024, Appellant, proceeding pro se, filed a Motion for Extension of Time asking for additional time to file his appellate brief and requesting that this Court order "a federal investigation" of Brazoria County Adult Probation Office in Texas and Bibb County Felony Probation Office in Georgia because allegedly these entities "seem to have monopolized local and state mental health hospitals and facilities," and Appellant is experiencing "ongoing psychological abuse . . . across state lines."

Appellant's motion is denied in part and granted in part.

Appellant's request for this Court to order a federal investigation is denied. We lack authority to issue the relief requested.

Appellant's request for an extension of time to file his brief is granted. Appellant's brief is due 30 days from the date of this order. Appellant is directed to follow the requirements of Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.1 in preparing and filing his brief. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.1 (outlining requirements for Appellant's brief).

It is so ORDERED.
