TAMEEN KAHN & YASMIN MAHMOOD, Petitioners, v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

These cases were on the Court's October 19, 2020 trial calendar for New York City. The parties reported that they had settled all but two issues, but progress seemed to slow and the Court spoke with them on September 9, 2021 to gauge progress. As a result, all agreed that it made sense to wrap up informal discovery, begin drafting stipulations, and only then proceed to formal discovery. Both parties expect to settle or be ready for trial by next February. The Court will begin to set deadlines to move the case forward, and it is therefore

ORDERED that all informal discovery in these cases be completed on or before November 15, 2021. It is also

ORDERED that on or before December 15, 2021 the parties file a joint status report describing their progress in drafting stipulations and their predictions about the need for formal discovery.
