STEVEN RAY JORDAN, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 401st Judicial District Court Collin County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 401-84183-2023

ORDER

BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN, JUSTICE

Before the Court is the third motion for extension of time to file the brief filed by appellant's counsel, Lara Bracamonte Davila. In the motion, Ms. Davila lists the five other appeals pending in this Court. She requests "an extension of 45 days in order to break up the deadlines for the outstanding briefs pending in this court." We GRANT the motion and order Ms. Davila to file appellant's brief on or before NOVEMBER 25, 2024. If the brief is not filed on or before that date, the Court will abate this appeal for the trial court to hold a hearing and make findings required by Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.8(b)(2) and to find whether new counsel should be appointed for appellant.
