Appeal from the 143rd District Court of Reeves County, Texas
(TC# 13-10-20505-CVR)
ORDER
Pending before the Court is Appellants' motion to stay the appeal because one of the Appellants is scheduled for medical procedures and is unable to attend a hearing set by the trial court related to the supersedeas bond in early October 2014. Appellants have also filed a motion in the trial court requesting a continuance of the same hearing. The trial court has continuing jurisdiction to address issues related to the security required to suspend execution of a judgment. See TEX.R.APP.P. 24.3. Further, Appellants may seek review of the trial court's ruling by motion filed in the court of appeals. See TEX.R.APP.P. 24.4. Consequently, it is unnecessary for this Court to stay the appeal in order for the trial court to consider Appellants' motion for a continuance or any other matters related to the supersedeas bond. Appellants' motion to stay the appeal is denied.
IT IS SO ORDERED this 10th day of September 2014.
