The following order was passed.

The Supreme Court today granted the writ of certiorari in this case.

Nahmias, C.J., and Peterson, Warren, Bethel, Ellington, McMillian, and LaGrua, JJ., concur.

Boggs, P.J., disqualified.

This case will be assigned to the October 2021 oral argument calendar automatically under Supreme Court Rule 50 (2), as amended September 13, 1996. Oral argument is mandatory in granted certiorari cases.

This Court is particularly concerned with the following issue or issues:

(1) What is the unit of prosecution for theft by taking under OCGA § 16-8-2?
(2) Would Petitioner's convictions for theft by taking merge under a correct unit of prosecution analysis?

Briefs should be submitted only on these points. See Supreme Court Rule 45.
