JIE GAO & CHENGJU WANG, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent
ORDER
Mark V. Holmes Judge
The Court issued an oral opinion in this case back in May 2023. Because we found partially in favor of both parties, a computation needed to be done. Respondent keeps having to rerun the computations because petitioners - whom the Court notes are neither accountants nor native speakers of English - keep finding mistakes IRS specialists should not have made in the first place.
The Court urges respondent to get it right and be able to explain to petitioners what the IRS has done. It is
ORDERED that on or before July 12, 2024 the parties will submit decision documents or respondent shall file his own unagreed computations with an explanation for the Court and petitioners.
