LARRI J. JEFFERSON, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent
ORDER
Elizabeth A. Copeland Judge
This case was originally calendared for trial at the Trial Session of the Court scheduled to commence on March 22, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. By Order of the Court dated March 12, 2021, jurisdiction of this case was retained by this Division of the Court.
On February 28, 2023, the Court conducted a conference call with the parties to discuss the present status of the case. The parties confirmed that, though there had been limited communication between petitioner and respondent up to the date of the conference call, petitioner was working with his attorneys to put together documents. The Court proposed setting this case for a remote trial on Friday, April 21, 2023, during the Trial Session of the Court in Cleveland, Ohio commencing on April 17, 2023. The parties had no objection to setting this case for trial at that time.
Upon due consideration, and for cause, it is
ORDERED that, on the Court's own motion, this case shall proceed remotely. It is further
ORDERED that this case is set for remote trial at a date and time certain of Friday, April 21, 2023, at 01:00 p.m. ET (12:00 p.m. CT for the parties joining from Texas) at the April 17, 2023, Trial Session of the Court in Cleveland, Ohio. It is further
ORDERED that the Clerk of Court shall also serve on the parties a Notice of Remote Proceeding that shall contain comprehensive instructions on how to participate in the above-referenced remote proceeding, as well as the Standing Pretrial Order for the Court's April 17, 2023, Cleveland, Ohio Trial Session.
