Action to recover damages for injury to person and property, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the defendants, brought to the Superior Court in Hartford County, where a default for failure to appear was entered against the named defendant, and the issues were tried to the jury before Googel, J.; verdict and judgment for the defendant Richard Dignazio and appeal by the plaintiffs. Error; new trial.

The charge failed to distinguish between an admission and an inconsistent statement. Sears v. Curtis, 147 Conn. 311, 315, 160 A.2d 742.
