CHARLES RAY JAMES, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the Criminal District Court No. 1 Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. F16-70480-H

ORDER

We REINSTATE this appeal.

On May 10, 2017, we ordered the trial court to conduct a hearing on why appellant's brief had not been filed. On June 6, 2017, appellant tendered his brief along with a motion asking us to grant an extension. In the interest of expediting the appeal and because we have not received the trial court's findings, we VACATE the May 10, 2017 order requiring findings.

We GRANT appellant's June 6, 2017 motion and ORDER appellant's brief filed as of the date of this order.

We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Robert Burns, Presiding Judge, Criminal District Court No. 1, and to counsel for all parties.
