STEVEN JACOBOWITZ, Petitioner, v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Tamara W. Ashford, Judge.

This case is currently calendared for trial at the Session of the Court commencing on October 17, 2022, in Hartford, Connecticut. On October 14, 2022, petitioner filed a Motion for Continuance. On October 16, 2022, the Court held a telephone conference with the parties' counsel to discuss the propriety of a continuance and the status of the case. During the telephone conference, petitioner's counsel stated that due to the death of petitioner's mother, petitioner would be unavailable to appear in person for most of the trial session and that perhaps the best option would be a remote trial. In response, respondent's counsel stated that he would be amenable to a remote trial. Upon due consideration, it is hereby

ORDERED that petitioner's Motion for Continuance, filed October 14, 2022, is denied. It is further

ORDERED that this case is calendared for a remote trial at a date and time certain on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., during the October 17, 2022, Hartford, Connecticut Trial Session. It is further

ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall attach to this Order a notice of remote proceeding, which contains comprehensive instructions for participating in the remote trial. The parties shall refer to the Notice of Remote Proceeding for the Zoomgov Meeting ID and Passcode.

This Order constitutes official notice thereof to the parties.
