Jackson v. Mesquite Justice Court

COURT OF APPEALS OF THE STATE OF NEVADA

No. 76700 (Nev. App. Oct. 12, 2018)

Opinion

ROYALE ANTHONY JACKSON, Petitioner, v. MESQUITE JUSTICE COURT, Respondent.

ORDER DENYING PETITION

This is an original petition for a writ of quo warranto. Royale Anthony Jackson alleges the judges of this state are denying the "American People" the republican form of government they took an oath to protect. NRS Chapter 35 does "not permit a person with only a general interest in quo warranto relief to pursue [an action to oust an individual from office], absent participation from the attorney general and leave of the court." Lueck v. Teuton, 125 Nev. 674, 679, 219 P.3d 895, 898 (2009). To the extent Jackson is attempting to oust any judge of this state from office, he does not have standing to institute such an action under NRS Chapter 35. Accordingly, we

ORDER the petition DENIED.

We have considered all documents filed in this matter and conclude no relief based on those documents is warranted. --------
