PERRY JACKSON v. JAMES LeBLANC, SECRETARY OF DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS

In Re: Perry Jackson, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 650684. BEFORE: HIGGINBOTHAM, HOLDRIDGE AND PENZATO, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. The district court is instructed to proceed toward disposition of relator's "petition for civil proceedings for issuance of writ of mandamus," filed October 6, 2017. To the extent that relator is requesting mandamus relief from the district court's failure to act on the "motion to recuse Commissioner Robinson," the writ application is denied. The records of the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk's Office reflect that on February 27, 2018, the district court ruled on relator's motion to recuse Commissioner Nicole Robinson from this matter. Furthermore, any complaints relator has regarding his district court docket number should be addressed to the district court.
