In Re: Perry Jackson, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 650864. BEFORE: WHIPPLE, C.J., McDONALD AND CHUTZ, JJ.

WRIT DENIED ON THE SHOWING MADE. Mandamus is an extraordinary remedy which should be applied only where ordinary means fail to afford adequate relief. Board of Trustees of Sheriff's Pension and Relief Fund v. City of New Orleans, 2002-0640 (La. 5/24/02), 819 So.2d 290, 292 (per curiam). In this matter, there is no documentation before this court establishing the pleading at issue was mailed or received by the district court. This ruling in no way affects relator's ability to submit the pleading to the Clerk of Court for East Baton Rouge Parish for filing.
