August 28, 2002.

Consideration, by the Court of Appeals, on its own motion pursuant to NY Constitution, article VI, § 22 (e) and (g) and Judiciary Law § 44 (8) (a) and (c) of whether Honorable Reynold N. Mason should be suspended from his office of Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Second Judicial District, pending disposition of his request for review of a determination by the State Commission of Judicial Conduct.

Chief Judge Kaye and Judges Smith, Levine, Ciparick, Wesley, Rosenblatt and Graffeo concur.


On the Court's own motion, it is determined that Hon. Reynold N. Mason suspended, with pay, effective immediately, from the office of Justice of the Supreme Court, Kings County, pending disposition of his request for review of a determination by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
