No. 3-172 / 03-0216

Filed March 26, 2003

Appeal from the Iowa District Court for Bremer County, Gerald Magee, Associate Juvenile Judge.

A mother appeals the termination of her parental rights to her two children. AFFIRMED.

David Roth, Waterloo, attorney for appellant.

Thomas J. Miller, Attorney General, Kathrine Miller-Todd, Assistant Attorney General, and Kasey Wadding, County Attorney, for appellee-State.

Larry Salvas, Nashua, pro se father.

Linnea Nicol, Juvenile Public Defender, Waterloo, guardian ad litem for minor children.

Considered by Huitink, P.J., and Mahan and Hecht, JJ.

After a contested termination hearing, the juvenile court issued its findings of fact, conclusions of law, and ruling on January 7, 2003. In its ruling, the juvenile court terminated Laura's parental rights to her two children. Laura's parental rights to M.S. were terminated pursuant to Iowa Code sections 232.116(1)(e) and (h) (2001). Laura's parental rights to S.S. were terminated pursuant to section 232.116(1)(e).

Laura appeals, alleging the state failed to provide proof as required by section 232.116(1)(h) that the alleged abuse to M.S. posed a significant risk to his life or constituted imminent danger to him. However, Laura makes no challenge to the juvenile court's termination of her parental rights to both sons under section 232.116(1)(e).

While the district court terminated the parental rights on more than one statutory ground, we will affirm if at least one ground has been proved by clear and convincing evidence. In re A.J., 553 N.W.2d 909, 911 (Iowa Ct.App. 1996). Because Laura has failed to challenge termination of her parental rights under section 132.116(1)(e), we affirm the juvenile court decision.

AFFIRMED.
