IN RE VINCENT VITALE, ET AL., Relators

Original Proceeding from the 196th Judicial District Court Hunt County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 86386

Before Justices Osborne, Partida-Kipness, and Smith

MEMORANDUM OPINION

LESLIE OSBORNE JUSTICE

In their March 30, 2022 petition for writ of mandamus, relators challenge the trial court's order denying the motion for pro hac vice admission. Entitlement to mandamus relief requires relators to show that the trial court clearly abused its discretion and that they lack an adequate appellate remedy. In re Prudential Ins. Co., 148 S.W.3d 124, 135-36 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding).

Based on our review of the petition and record, we conclude that relators have failed to show an abuse of discretion. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.8(a). Accordingly, we deny the petition for writ of mandamus.

Also before the Court is relators' March 30, 2022 emergency motion to seal the file. We deny the motion because we conclude that relators have failed to show their entitlement to the relief requested. However, we strike the petition and supporting appendix for relators' failure to comply with Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.9's redaction requirements. See Tex. R. App. P. 9.9.
