The petition for writ of habeas corpus is denied. Petitioner's Second Motion for Stay of Habeas Petition (filed April 20, 2018) is denied. Petitioner's motion for judicial notice (filed April 6, 2018) is granted as to (1) the trial court file of petitioner's criminal case, and (2) The 2011 and 2012 versions of California Penal Code § 597.1. (See Evid. Code, § 452, subds. (a) and (d)). Petitioner's motion to take judicial notice of the obituary and March 30, 2012 press release of Professor Don Henneke is denied.
