ORDER
On May 18, 2020, relators filed a petition for writ of mandamus and a motion for relief pending final resolution of the petition for writ of mandamus. This court believes a serious question concerning the mandamus relief sought requires further consideration. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(b). The respondent and the real party in interest may file a response to the petition in this court no later than, June 3, 2020. Any such response must conform to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 52.4.
Relators' request for relief is GRANTED as follows pending final resolution of the petition for writ of mandamus:
1. The trial court's May 7, 2020 "Order Denying Defendant's Motion to Quash the Videotaped and Oral Deposition of the Third Oral and Videotaped Deposition of Defendant Joe David Hawkins, Jr." is STAYED to the extent the order requires the witness to appear in person—the deposition can still go forward remotely under the circumstances described in Plaintiff's Third Notice of Intention to Take the Oral and Videotaped Deposition of Joe David Hawkins, Jr.
2. The trial court's May 7, 2020 "Order Denying Defendant's Motion to Quash the Continued Deposition of the Designated Representative of Defendant UV Logistics, LLC d/b/a United Vision Logistics" is STAYED to the extent the order requires the witness to appear in person—the deposition can still go forward remotely under the circumstances described in Plaintiff's Notice of Intention to Take the Continued Oral and Videotaped Deposition, Subpoena Duces Tecum, of the Designated Representative of Defendant UV Logistics, LLC d/b/a United Vision Logistics.
It is so ORDERED on this 19th day of May, 2020.
