ORDER
Before Justices Bridges, Osborne, and Carlyle
The Court has before it relator's March 18, 2019 petition for writ of habeas corpus and request for temporary relief. We GRANT the request for temporary relief. Pending this Court's determination of relator's petition on the merits, and until further order of this Court, we ORDER that relator Steven K. Topletz be released from custody of the Sherriff of Collin County, Texas only upon posting a good and sufficient cash or surety bond, conditioned as required by law, in the sum of $500, plus all expenses which may be incurred by peace officers in rearresting relator in the event that relator fails to appear at any hearing before this Court or violates some other condition of the bond.
In the event that relator Steven K. Topletz gives such bond, the Sherriff of Collin County, Texas is ORDERED to immediately forward a certified copy of the bond to the Clerk of this Court. This order releases relator Steven K. Topletz from custody only under the "Judgment for Contempt" and "Commitment" both dated March 18, 2019 and issued by Judge Andrea Thompson, presiding judge of the 416th Judicial District Court of Collin County, Texas in cause number 416-04120-2012.
The Court requests that real party in interest and respondent file their responses, if any, to the petition for writ of habeas corpus on or before March 29, 2019.
The Court DIRECTS the Clerk to send copies of this order, by electronic transmission, to the Honorable Andrea Thompson, Presiding Judge, 416th Judicial District Court, Collin County, Texas; Jim Skinner, Collin County Sherriff; and to counsel for all parties.
