Considered by Habhab, Harris, and Brown, Senior Judges.
Senior Judges assigned by order pursuant to Iowa Code section 602.9206 (2003).
We have carefully considered respondent Kevin Dean Hurtig's challenge to a dissolution of marriage decree. His challenge is to the allocation of debt and the property division.
Petitioner (Karen) was awarded assets worth $49,000, but was assessed debts of $64,665, leaving a net worth loss of $15,665. Kevin was awarded assets worth $14,500 and was assessed debts of $5000, with a net worth gain of $9500. To balance these awards Kevin was ordered to pay Karen $7200 at a monthly rate of $200 for three years.
On our de novo review we are convinced the challenged decree was more than fair to Kevin. Kevin complains that certain evidence in the form of tax returns should have been submitted to the court. Kevin had ample opportunity to produce the evidence at trial and cannot complain of failure on appeal.
