STATE BAR RULES 1.1 & 5.4 ADMIN. 2021-02-17-02

On February 18, 2020, the court issued an administrative order granting a request by the Board of Trustees of the State Bar of California to approve amendments to rules 1.1 and 5.4 of the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Approved versions of the rules set forth in an attachment to that order contained a typographical error in rule 5.4(d)(1).
A corrected version of rule 5.4 approved by the court is set forth here as Attachment 1. The effective date of the amendments to rules 1.1 and 5.4 remains March 22, 2021.
