In re: PHILADELPHIA TRAFFIC COURT JUDGE CHRISTINE SOLOMON PETITION OF: THE JUDICIAL CONDUCT BOARD

Petition of the Judicial Conduct Board to Stop, Suspend or Stay Proceedings on the Rule to Show Cause Issued in this Matter

or, In the Alternative, for Permission to Appear, Participate and Be Heard At Any Proceedings Before the Appointed Master

ORDER

PER CURIAM

AND NOW, this 12th day of July, 2013, the Judicial Conduct Board ("Board") is GRANTED permission to intervene in the proceedings before this Court. The proceedings before the Honorable William H. Platt, who is serving as the Court's Special Master per our Order of May 21, 2013, are hereby STAYED pending further order of this Court. Nothing in this Order constrains the Board in pursuing its own inquiry into the factual question of whether or not Judge Solomon reasonably cooperated with the Traffic Court investigation.

The Supreme Court Prothonotary is directed to issue an expedited briefing schedule to permit the Board to pursue the constitutional issue(s) set forth in its petition, and to schedule oral argument. The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts will be responsible for filing a brief as respondent.
