EX PARTE: TROY SHAW

On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 6 Collin County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 006-02674-2017

ORDER

Before the Court is appellant's January 6, 2018 "Motion Granting Permission of Consultant to Receive and Review Case Documents." In her motion, appellant states that because she cannot afford to hire an attorney, a consultant is assisting her in requesting, receiving, and reviewing court documents, contacting the Court on her behalf, and drafting her pleadings. Appellant may either represent herself or be represented by a licensed attorney. See TEX. R. APP. P. 9.1(a), (b). Because the consultant is not a licensed attorney, the consultant cannot represent appellant in this appeal. See id. Accordingly, we DENY the motion.
