Opinion

B167605.

11-20-2003

In re S.D.P., et al., Persons Coming Under The Juvenile Court Law. DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. V. P., Defendant and Appellant.

Andre F. F. Toscano, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant. No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

Appellant V.P. (Mother) appeals the April 30, 2003 Order which terminated her parental rights with respect to the minors S.D.P. and A.V.P., pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 366.26.

We appointed counsel to represent Mother on appeal. After examination of the record, counsel notified this court in writing that, pursuant to In re Sade C. (1996) 13 Cal.4th 952, counsel was unable to file an opening brief. On August 22, 2003, the clerk of this court mailed Mother a notice, addressed to Mothers last known address, which advised Mother to submit within 30 days any contentions or issues she wished this court to consider. Mother failed to file any response with this court.

Because Mother has failed to raise any claim of error or other defect, the appeal properly is dismissed as abandoned. (In re Sade C., supra, 13 Cal.4th at p. 994.)

DISPOSITION

The appeal is dismissed.

We Concur: KLEIN, P.J., KITCHING, J.
