IN RE PETITION OF BLAKE A. ROBERTSON FOR REINSTATEMENT TO ACTIVE STATUS IN THE BAR OF MONTANA
ORDER
Blake A. Robertson has petitioned for reinstatement to active status in the State Bar of Montana. Robertson was placed on inactive status by the State Bar of Montana pursuant to Rules 3B2, 5, and 12 of the Rules for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) on July 12, 2021 as a result of noncompliance with CLE requirements. In accordance with Rule 13 of the CLE Rules, Robertson has provided a letter from the State Bar certifying that Robertson has now completed all CLE requirements "through the reporting year that ended March 31, 2023."
The Petition indicates Robertson has not: 1) been suspended, disbarred, or otherwise ineligible to practice of law in another jurisdiction and is not currently subject to disciplinary proceedings or pending disciplinary proceedings in another jurisdiction, 2) accrued delinquent debt or filed for bankruptcy, 3) failed to fulfill the obligations of a public office or professional license, or 4) committed any violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct while on inactive status. As noted in our previous order, Robertson was charged with a criminal offense while on inactive status. On June 6, 2023, that matter was dismissed in the Municipal Court of the City of Billings, Montana, without prejudice, and we consider it to be currently resolved for purposes of reinstatement. Any further development in the criminal matter may necessitate additional review. Good cause appearing, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petition of Blake A. Robertson for reinstatement to active status in the State Bar of Montana is GRANTED.
