IN RE DEMARCUS DONTRELL RIDGE

Original Proceeding

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Demarcus Dontrell Ridge seeks a writ of mandamus against Jon R. Gimble, the McLennan County District Clerk. We have no jurisdiction to compel a district clerk to act except to enforce our jurisdiction. See TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 22.221(a), (b) (West 2004). Ridge has not alleged any need for this Court to protect our jurisdiction.

Accordingly, Ridge's petition for writ of mandamus is dismissed for want of jurisdiction.
